NYC Noles Hurricane Sandy Relief Game Watching Party! FSU vs V-Tech@ 7:30pm – this Thursday, November 8th SALOON on the UES and at 4th Down in Brooklyn

This week’s football game is on Thursday & we hope you all can make it out to either of our 2 FSU bars after work!

Over a week after Hurricane Sandy’s destruction the Tri-State area is struggling and will continue to rebuild & put their lives back together. Seminoles have a unique way of coming together in solidarity and support that many times mirrors the people struggling in our neighborhoods right now.

To support those affected by Hurricane Sandy we have decided to collect funds that will go directly to the “In Good Company Hospitality Relief Fund.”

At Saloon: your bar tenders/servers will ask you if you would like to add a $5 donation to your bar tab when you close out/pay. The Seminole Club of NYC will collect each of these donations at the end of the evening and write a check directly to the In Good Company Hospitality Relief Fund.

At 4^th Down: We will be having a Sailor Jerry Rum Airstream promotion this Thursday. We will be giving away a ton of Sailor Jerry Rum freebies and we will also raffle off a few larger items! You can buy two raffle tickets for $5. All of the money collected in the sale of the raffle tickets will be given directly to the In Good Company Hospitality Relief Fund.

All funds donated towards this fund will go directly to aid the victims of Sandy along the Rockaway Peninsula and Broad Channel who lost everything as a result of the storm. If you are not familiar with this area; it includes Breezy Point which lost over 100 homes to a fire during the storm, and ironically so many of our New York Fire Fighters call it home. These funds will be allocated directly to displaced families to provide them with temporary housing, food, clothing, basic needs, etc.

It is HOMECOMING WEEK for FSU and to celebrate we are offering a special afternoon pre-party for Members, with tastings from Buffalo Trace Bourbon! We will be sampling a few Bourbons, mixing some specialty cocktails and learning about the whiskey making process. The event will take place at the Saloon (on the Yorkville Creperie side) from 2-2:30p. You must be a NYC Noles Member to participate.If you plan to attend the tasting please RSVP to NolesNYinfo@gmail.com so we can get an estimated headcount for the Buffalo Trace team.

We want to thank you all for coming out last weekend to watch the game. It was hard to stomach the outcome, and even harder to see the AP Poll come out on Sunday. However, FSU still has many goals in sight, and looks to make it to the ACC
Championship Game and the Orange Bowl. A win this weekend will help FSU continue along that path!

Our #4 ranked Florida State Seminoles take on the USF Bulls this Saturday in Tampa, FL at 6pm. FSU is coming off one of the biggest wins in the past 10 years and many national media outlets are predicting FSU will be playing in the National Championship game. However, the Noles still have business to take care of, and this weekend they are out to avenge a 17-7 loss to USF at home back in 2009.
